Forgiveness

I want to share a kind of personal thing with you guys. When I was younger I had somebody die to save me. I doubt many of you can understand the feelings that this gives. And the most amazing part of all is, I hurt this person, I failed him for my entire life, I didn't live up to his expectations and I ruined his life, yet he still did it. He loved me that much. If you've ever had this happen to you then you can understand the love and attachment you feel for this person, you would do anything for the person, out of love and devotion, how could you not?
He forgave me and sacrificed himself for me. He died for me I was falling into a deep pit with sharp rocks at the bottom that would have killed me, but he jumped in and threw me back up but died at the bottom, the only reason I am the person I am today is because of him. He Died For Me do you realize what this means, You know what is so amazing about it though? he died for you to. His name is Jesus. Not only did he die for me but he died for you to. Now I don't care what you say about me but i'm going to follow him, serve him, and love him for the rest of my life and you can mock me, laugh at me, and humiliate me and it doesn't even matter, because i'm serving the one who died personally for me. Christians often forget that they had somebody die for them. They know the words but they don't think about what it means, to have somebody get tortured, yes tortured he was stabbed, beaten, and then crucified for us. How can we not serve him how can we ignore the price he paid for us. http://www.hopeabides.com/

"i knw it is not possible to find someone like jesus who sacrificed his life"

He didn't sacrifice his life. He's apparently alive in heaven right now at the right hand of god. Some sacrifice.

Do you believe in an afterlife dan?

No, due to the lack of evidence. What I'm getting at is that what kind of sacrifice is it if you don't lose anything, and after a tiny period of time on earth (remember, the bible says that 1000 years is a blink of an eye to god, makes you wonder how long 33 is?) you're back in heaven where you started. And plus, god apparently made the rule that someone had to redeem our sins. When you make the rules and lose nothing, it's not much of an accomplishment.

Lose nothing? do you realize the amount of pain there was? One sin is the equivalent of eternal death. Yelling or an evil thought. So essentially Jesus was not only being tortured in one of the worst ways of the time, but he was bearing the sin of every person in the world, an unlimited amount of sin and each one is the equivalent to death. That is quite a sacrifice. But that is not the only sacrifice he endured. He became a man and died for people who had failed him. You bring up the point of 1000 years being a blink of an eye to God. He had become a man so that no longer effected him. Though he still had the power of God he no longer viewed the world in that time.

But again, you fail to explain what he lost through this ordeal. He went through torture for a few hours, and then happily went back to heaven. What did he sacrifice? His life? No, he's still alive and well. His future? No, he's in heaven, not hell. His reputation? Nope, he's the hero in Christianity. What exactly did he sacrifice then?
